What is a Group Barn Quilt?

A group barn quilt is a large-scale painted quilt block designed and painted by many hands. Each participant adds their own brushstrokes. Sometimes to a specific section, sometimes to the whole, coming together to create a bold, lasting piece of art.

From school children to seniors’ groups, sports teams to service clubs, a group quilt tells a shared story- one filled with color, creativity and connection.

How It Works:

1. Planning & Design
We work together to choose the perfect design, size and materials. I’ll guide you through traditional quilt blocks, color meanings, or help create something unique to your group’s identity.

2. Prepping the Quilt
The barn quilt is prepped and outlined in advance, so it’s ready for your group to paint with confidence. (No artistic experience needed!)

3. Painting Day(s)
We can organize a painting day at your location (or mine, if it fits). Everyone gets to participate, whether it’s painting a full section or just a few brushstrokes. I’m there to guide, assist and make sure it turns out beautifully.

4. Sealing & Finishing
Once painting is complete, I’ll apply protective coatings and final touches so your barn quilt is ready for display- indoors or out.
